There are a number of disability advocacy agencies that receive funding to help people with appeals of the National Disability Insurance Agency decisions. Advice and/or representation services are offered, subject to organisational capacity. Advocacy organisations’ contact details are listed on the National Disability Advocacy Program page on the Department of Social Services website.
Legal Aid Queensland also operates an advice and representation service. There is no means test for applicants seeking help through this service. Advice is provided to all people who contact the service subject to capacity, and representation in appeals cases is provided in limited circumstances (subject to assessment on application).
